Welcome Home, Inc. has received a $17,000 grant from the Disabled Veterans National Foundation to enhance programs for disabled, homeless and at-risk veterans and their families.
Programs and services enhanced by the grant include transitional shelter and rapid re-housing services, professional case management, employment assistance, assistance with benefits earned and other support and access to resources, according to a Welcome Home news release. The funding will provide assistance to more than 350 veterans and their families.
Disabled Veterans National Foundation provides support to disabled and at-risk veterans who leave the military wounded, whether psychologically or physically, according to the release. Welcome Home is a non-profit transitional shelter and supportive services center serving veterans in Mid-Missouri.
